Welcome
Dance: a body following the path of a spirit unleashed. Be who you are.
I first became enamoured of Bellydance in 2001, when a Brazilian soap opera, called O Clone came on TV. The female lead was also a bellydancer, and I was captivated from the start. The grace and control she exibited, along with the gorgeous costumes stayed with me for many years. In 2007 I finally came across an opportunity learn bellydance at a local Community Ed class and I jumped on the chance. Since then I've been dancing nonstop wherever I go and learning as much as I can.
In Savannah I studied with Nicole Edge for 2 years before joining her troupe, Cairo on the Coast, where I performed, along with 4 other beautiful ladies, for a little over a year. Since moving to L.A. I have been taking classes with Devilla, Zahra Zuhair, April Rose, and Princess Farhana and have also taken up Brazilian Samba with plans to start hip-hop classes soon.
I have also attended workshops by Zoe Jakes, Myra Krien, Donna Mejia, Asharah, Ranya Renee and Olivia Kissel & Maria Hamer of Zafira along with several professional business workshops hosted at this years MECDA Pro Conference.
I currently dance with the Isis-Siren-Sekhmet Dance Company, which is run by the lovely DeVilla. I am hoping to begin teaching beginners bellydance classes in the Burbank/Glendale area and am looking forward to more opportunities to dance in LA.
